FKA Twigs Cancels North American Tour Dates Due to Visa Issues
FKA Twigs announced that she has canceled her remaining North American tour dates scheduled for April, citing “ongoing visa issues.” This decision affects her anticipated performances at Coachella in Indio, California, as well as Axe Ceremonia in Mexico City, which was set to take place this weekend.
Artist’s Statement on Cancellation
On X (formerly Twitter), Twigs expressed her disappointment, stating she was “devastated” that she could not fulfill her previously scheduled tour dates, including the performances mentioned. She noted, “due to ongoing visa issues I am not able to see through any of my scheduled tour dates for the remainder of April across North America, including Ceremonia and Coachella.”
This news follows a recent announcement from fellow artist Anitta, who also withdrew from this year’s Coachella for “unexpected personal reasons.”
Impact on Fans and Future Plans
In her message to fans, Twigs acknowledged the impact of this cancellation: “I know this news impacts so many of you that have already made plans and spent money in order to see these shows.” She assured her audience that she is working diligently to reschedule the affected dates, encouraging ticket holders to check with their point of purchase for refund details.
Twigs also promised to keep fans updated, sharing images from her tour and expressing her enthusiasm for upcoming projects. She has emphasized that she remains eager to share what she considers some of her strongest work.
Previous Tour Adjustments
This cancellation comes on the heels of previous changes made to Twigs’ Eusexua tour, which began in Paris. Less than two weeks into the tour, she postponed multiple dates in Chicago, Toronto, and New York. At that time, she explained that her production team’s failure to secure proper visas was to blame for these changes. In a heartfelt TikTok video, she conveyed her sorrow, stating, “All I want to do is be there with you and bring Eusexua to you.”
