Exciting Details Unveiled for ‘Zootopia 2’
At the recent CinemaCon 2025 event, The Walt Disney Studios provided eagerly awaited insights into the upcoming sequel, Zootopia 2. The presentation featured animated footage and cast announcements that are sure to delight fans of the original film.
Star-Studded Cast and Characters
Jason Bateman, who reprises his role as Nick Wilde, playfully engaged the audience by introducing a whimsical array of animal-themed titles for Disney’s upcoming slate, including “Thundercolts” for “Thunderbolts” and “Fantastic Fur” for “Fantastic Four: First Steps.”
Academy Award-winner Ke Huy Quan joined the presentation to share exclusive footage from Zootopia 2. His character, Gary, is a unique snake and the first of his species to enter Zootopia, which propels the storyline forward. Bateman’s Nick and Ginnifer Goodwin’s Judy Hopps will seek out Gary as part of their new adventures.
New Additions to the Voice Cast
The cast continues to grow with the addition of Quinta Brunson, known for her role in “Abbott Elementary.” In the newly released footage, she voices Dr. Fuzzby, an endearing quokka leading a therapy group for dysfunctional partners that features Nick and Judy.
Comedian Fortune Feimster has also signed on to lend her voice to Nibbles, a beaver, further enriching the animated world of Zootopia. Additionally, superstar Shakira confirmed her return as Gazelle, promising to contribute a new original song for the sequel.
