Spencer Boldman has secured the lead role in a biopic about the renowned blind country music artist, Ronnie Milsap. The film will be based on Milsap’s autobiography, “Almost Like a Song,” and is being produced by Gary Negherbon of Negherbon Media Group and Antonia DeNardo, who is also Boldman’s manager. In addition to acting, Boldman will take on the role of executive producer for the project.
Ronnie Milsap, who has lived with congenital visual impairment since birth, gained fame for his ability to cross genres, blending country with pop, R&B, and rock. His notable tracks include “It Was Almost Like a Song,” “Smoky Mountain Rain,” and “Any Day Now.” Milsap has earned multiple accolades, including six Grammy Awards and the Country Music Entertainer of the Year award in 1991. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2014.

Gary Negherbon expressed excitement about Boldman’s commitment to this project, believing that audiences will be deeply affected by his portrayal of Milsap. Boldman met with Milsap in Nashville to gain insights for the role, and Milsap has given his approval for Boldman to play him. Boldman has shared his enthusiasm for bringing Milsap’s inspiring story to life and aims to honor the legacy of this celebrated musician.
