Paul Feig Calls Out 'total Bs' Over Claims 'simple Favor

Director Paul Feig has addressed recent rumors regarding the status of “A Simple Favor 2,” clarifying that the film has not been postponed indefinitely by Amazon, as speculated on social media. These rumors originated from a thread by an internet user, which suggested that the sequel was shelved due to tensions involving stars Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, as well as Lively’s alleged legal issues.

In response to these claims, Feig firmly denied any problems with the film’s release, stating, “This is complete BS. I’m sorry. The movie is finished and will be released soon.” He cautioned fans not to believe everything circulated on social media.

Some fans questioned the lack of a release date, given that production is supposed to conclude in April 2024. Feig explained that the post-production process typically spans at least six months and involves various technical tasks like editing and sound mixing. He emphasized that the studio often takes time to determine the best release date rather than launching a film immediately after its completion.

Feig assured fans that the movie is in good shape and praised the performances of both Lively and Kendrick. He expressed his eagerness for audiences to experience the sequel, promising more updates in the near future.
