These rumors originated from a thread by an internet user, which suggested that the sequel was shelved due to tensions involving stars Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, as well as Lively’s alleged legal issues.
In response to these claims, Feig firmly denied any problems with the film’s release, stating, “This is complete BS. I’m sorry. The movie is finished and will be released soon.” He cautioned fans not to believe everything circulated on social media.
Some fans questioned the lack of a release date, given that production is supposed to conclude in April 2024.
