Heart Cancels European Tour As Ann Wilson Undergoes Medical Procedure

Heart has announced the cancellation of their upcoming European performances to accommodate lead singer Ann Wilson’s recovery from a medical procedure. The European leg of the band’s Royal Flush tour was set to begin on June 20 and conclude on July 12, with several festival appearances planned.

In a statement, the band expressed regret over the cancellation, emphasizing the need for Wilson to focus on her health. She is expected to undergo a routine treatment that will require a minimum recovery period of six weeks.

Despite the cancellation of the European tour, Heart plans to resume their concerts on July 30 with a performance alongside Def Leppard and Journey in Cleveland, Ohio. Concertgoers who purchased tickets for the canceled European shows may request refunds through the original point of purchase.

Heart, known for being one of the pioneering female-fronted hard rock bands, began their Royal Flush Tour—initiated by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson—in 1974. This tour marked the band’s return to the stage after a five-year hiatus. They were previously set to embark on their North American tour starting April 20 in Greenville, South Carolina, accompanied by Cheap Trick and Squeeze for various dates. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, solidifying their legacy in the music industry.
