Collaborative Efforts and Recent Developments
In a recent interview with NME, the Mael brothers expressed their admiration for The Last Dinner Party’s cover of their classic hit, This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us. Russell Mael mentioned, “It’s really good. They’ve raised the key and sing it higher than Sparks, if you can believe that.” On the prospect of a future collaboration, he noted the potential for creative synergy, stating, “I think they’re really good, and a song with them would be fun.”
Controversy in the Media
Meanwhile, in a separate conversation, Morrissey has publicly criticized Sparks, describing them as “headless Palisades savages who threw their old friends into hot molten lava for sexy kicks.”
