Album Details
Colombian American R&B artist Kali Uchis has unveiled the name of her upcoming fifth studio album: “Sincerely.” The announcement was made via a captivating video shared on social media, highlighting the creative process behind the album.
In the video, Uchis writes a note about the album name, seals it, and walks away dressed in a mysterious outfit. She expresses a longing for a tranquil place in her narrative, saying, “I dream of a home that even time will lie down and be still for. A place where everything works out the way it should,” before ultimately revealing the title, “Sincerely.”
Connection with Fans
Along with the album announcement, Uchis reached out to her devoted fanbase, known as the Kuchis, through an email letter. In her message, she conveyed warmth and affection, stating, “Thinking of you and wishing you lots of love! I know I’ve been distant, but we’ll each other again sooner than you think.” To accompany her letter, she included a GIF that featured her flipping a note stating, “Sincerely, the 5th studio album written and recorded by Kali Uchis.”
Record Label Transition
As part of her new era, Uchis announced her signing with Capitol Records following their merger with Interscope. The singer will continue collaborating with the same team responsible for her previous two albums, “Red Moon in Venus” and “Orquídeas.” In her press release regarding the label change, she expressed her gratitude, stating: “Thank you all for the well-intentioned wishes on this journey, and thank you to my team! I have boundless gratitude for my silent ascent throughout the years and am very much looking forward to what’s next.”
Anticipation for the Album
The announcement of “Sincerely” follows her collaboration with artist D4vd on the track “Crashing,” and comes more than a year after the release of her second Spanish-language album, “Orquídeas,” which featured prominent artists such as Peso Pluma, Karol G, and Rauw Alejandro. Uchis later released a second part of the album, further enriching her discography. Fans eagerly await further details on “Sincerely,” which is expected to drop later this year.
