On April 1, it was announced that RuPaul will present Minnelli with the “Giving Us Lifetime Achievement” award during the season finale, set to air on April 18. As a long-time supporter and ally of the LGBTQ+ community, Minnelli’s recognition reflects her vital role in paving the way for artists like RuPaul.
Continuing a Tradition
Minnelli’s achievement marks her as the third recipient of this prestigious award. Previous honorees include fashion designer Bob Mackie, who was the first guest judge on Drag Race, and Cassandra Peterson, famously known as Elvira, who received the award in the last season finale.

This honor is not the first time the show has celebrated Minnelli’s legacy. During the beloved Snatch Game challenge in Season 9, contestant Alexis Michelle delivered a memorable impression of Minnelli, earning accolades and ranking high among musical impersonations by Billboard.
